Gift transaction system architecture

A system comprising:

• a memory;
• and
• one or more processors coupled to the memory, the one or more processors configured by instructions in the memory to perform operations including:
• receiving a selection input corresponding to a selection of an interface element to navigate to a digital storefront of a merchant system, wherein the interface element is selected from a plurality of interface elements and is generated using an Application Programming Interface (API) of an application associated with the interface element;
• determining, based on the selection input, a gift intent, wherein the gift intent is an intent to send a gift;
• receiving an intent input via the interface element, the intent input corresponding to a selection of a gift item, wherein the intent input is associated with the gift intent;
• providing, based on analysis of the intent input, a user interface that includes a representation of the gift item and an option to select a customization for the gift item;
• receiving a customization input that determines an aspect of the gift item;
• using the API to facilitate access to an inventory database corresponding to the merchant system, wherein the merchant system includes the representation of the gift item;
• integrating a buyer interface within the digital storefront of the merchant system;
• providing, using the API, the representation of the gift item and the customization input, wherein the gift item is described by analytics and is determined from behavior trend data stored in an analytics database;
• receiving, via the buyer interface, an indication that the gift item is intended as the gift;
• updating the analytics for the gift item using the indication;
• receiving, via a recipient interface, an additional selection;
• and
• in response to receiving the additional selection, initiating a gift transaction based on the gift item, the customization input, and the selection, wherein the gift transaction includes a checkout flow that modifies a checkout process of the merchant system to remove a shipping address from the checkout flow.

A non-transitory computer readable storage medium comprising instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a device, cause the device to perform operations comprising:

• receiving a selection input corresponding to a selection of an interface element to navigate to a digital storefront of a merchant system, wherein the interface element is selected from a plurality of interface elements and is generated using an Application Programming Interface (API) of an application associated with the interface element;
• determining, based on the selection input, a gift intent, wherein the gift intent is an intent to send a gift;
• receiving an intent input via the interface element, the intent input corresponding to the selection of a gift item, wherein the intent input is associated with the gift intent;
• providing, based on analysis of the intent input, a user interface that includes a representation of the gift item and an option to select a customization for the gift item;
• receiving a customization input via the user interface, wherein the customization input determines an aspect of the gift item;
• using the API to facilitate access to an inventory database corresponding to a merchant system, wherein the merchant system includes the representation of the gift item;
• integrating a buyer interface within the digital storefront of the merchant system;
• providing, using the API, the representation of the gift item and the customization input, wherein the gift item is described by analytics and is determined from behavior trend data stored in an analytics database;
• receiving, via the buyer interface, an indication that the gift item is intended as the gift;
• updating the analytics for the gift item using the indication;
• receiving, via a recipient interface, an additional selection;
• and
• in response to receiving the additional selection, initiating a gift transaction based on the gift item, the customization input, and the selection, wherein the gift transaction includes a checkout flow that modifies a checkout process of the merchant system to remove a shipping address from the checkout flow.
