Abstract
A method for producing an electrostatic image developing toner includes a step 1 of producing toner particles by a wet process, the toner particles including an amorphous polyester resin, a crystalline polyester resin, and a vinyl resin, and a step 2 of bringing acidic water into contact with the toner particles.
Claims8
A method for producing an electrostatic image developing toner, the method comprising:
- a step 1 of producing toner particles by a wet process, the toner particles including an amorphous polyester resin, a crystalline polyester resin, and a vinyl resin;
- and
- a step 2 of bringing acidic water, consisting of an aqueous solution of a monovalent acid having a pKa in water at 25° C. of −10 or more and 4.5 or less, and having an acid concentration of 0.5 mmol/L or more and 8 mmol/L or less measured prior to contact with the toner particles, into contact with the toner particles, wherein the step 2 reduces a sodium content on surfaces of the toner particles.
