Abstract
A display device comprising: a see-through display assembly comprising an at least partially transparent display configured to display to a user an augmented reality (AR) image comprising a virtual reality (VR) image presented over a scene of a patient; and a pantoscopic tilting assembly configured to pivotably adjust a pantoscopic tilt angle of the see-through display assembly.
Claims19
A display device, comprising:
- a see-through display assembly comprising an at least partially transparent display configured to display to a user an augmented reality (AR) image comprising a virtual reality (VR) image presented over a scene of a patient;
- and
- a pantoscopic tilting assembly configured to pivotably adjust a pantoscopic tilt angle of the see-through display assembly and comprising:
- an arc-shaped slot that pivotably couples a portion of the see-through display assembly to a portion of a frame, the frame operably coupled to the display device;
- and
- a detent mechanism comprising a detent configured to selectively retain the see-through display assembly in a predefined position.
A computer-implemented method for displaying to a user an augmented reality (AR) image comprising a virtual reality (VR) image presented over a scene of a patient, comprising:
- generating a VR image on an at least partially transparent display;
- adjusting a pantoscopic tilt angle of the at least partially transparent display;
- selectively retaining the at least partially transparent display at the pantoscopic tilt angle;
- and
- overlaying the VR image on the scene of the patient,
- wherein the pantoscopic tilt angle is retained by a pantoscopic tilting assembly, the pantoscopic tilting assembly comprising:
- an arc-shaped slot that pivotably couples a portion of the at least partially transparent display to a portion of a frame;
- and
- a detent mechanism comprising a detent configured to selectively retain the at least partially transparent display in at the pantoscopic tilt angle.
A non-transitory computer readable medium storing instructions for display to a user of an augmented reality (AR) image comprising a virtual reality (VR) image presented over a scene of a patient, which when executed by at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to perform operations comprising:
- generating a VR image on an at least partially transparent display;
- adjusting a pantoscopic tilt angle of the at least partially transparent display;
- selectively retaining the at least partially transparent display at the pantoscopic tilt angle;
- and
- overlaying the VR image on the scene of the patient,
- wherein the pantoscopic tilt angle is retained by a pantoscopic tilting assembly, the pantoscopic tilting assembly comprising:
- an arc-shaped slot that pivotably couples a portion of the at least partially transparent display to a portion of a frame;
- and
- a detent mechanism comprising a detent configured to selectively retain the at least partially transparent display in at the pantoscopic tilt angle.
