Duct for a heating wall of a coke oven or coke oven battery

A duct operatively arranged to fluidly connect a first flue of a heating wall of a coke oven battery with a second flue of the heating wall, the duct comprising:

• a bottom section having a first end and a second end, the bottom section having an external surface and an internal surface, the bottom section having a channel disposed within the internal surface extending from the first end to the second end, the channel having an inner channel disposed therein, the inner channel having a pair of distal apertures disposed therein, one of the pair of distal apertures in fluid communication with the first flue, another of the pair of distal apertures in fluid communication with the second flue,
• a top section having a first end and a second end, the top section having an external surface and an internal surface, the top section having a channel disposed within the internal surface extending from the first end to the second end, the channel having a pair of apertures disposed therein, wherein the bottom section is arranged to accept the top section thereon forming a passageway comprising the channels of the bottom section and the channel of the top section.
