Abstract
A hand-held paint sprayer includes a housing having a handle, a spray head, and a fan motor. The hand-held paint sprayer includes a receptacle space for the fan motor. The receptacle space includes an air inlet and an air outlet. The receptacle space is configured in such a manner that a first plane, in which lies a cross-sectional area of the air inlet, and a second plane, in which lies a cross-sectional area of the air outlet, intersect approximately orthogonally, and in that the air outlet opens toward the spray head.
Claims17
A hand-held paint sprayer comprising:
- a housing having an interior space formed therein;
- a power accumulator;
- a handle coupled to the housing, wherein the handle comprises a coupling for mechanically and electrically coupling the power accumulator, and wherein the handle has a first end and a second end, the first end being connected to the housing and the second end being connected to the coupling;
- a spray head coupled to the housing;
- a pressurized chamber positioned in the interior space of the housing, the pressurized chamber having a receptacle space formed therein;
- and
- a fan motor positioned at least partially within the receptacle space of the pressurized chamber, wherein the fan motor comprises an electric drive and a fan driven by the electric drive, wherein the fan comprises a fan housing having an intake duct and an exhaust duct, wherein the fan comprises a fan wheel which is received in the fan housing, and wherein the fan housing has an annular cross section;
- wherein the receptacle space comprises an air inlet and an air outlet;
- wherein the receptacle space comprises a first plane that forms a cross-sectional area of the air inlet, and a second plane that forms a cross-sectional area of the air outlet;
- wherein the first plane and the second plane intersect approximately orthogonally;
- wherein a rotation axis of the fan motor is aligned eccentrically to a central axis of a motor receptacle region of the receptacle space of the pressurized chamber;
- wherein the air outlet opens toward the spray head;
- and
- wherein:
- a flow of induction air passes through the intake duct in a direction of a rotation axis of the electric drive, and
- a flow of exhaust air passes through the exhaust duct in the direction of the rotation axis of the electric drive.
A hand-held paint sprayer comprising:
- a housing having a receptacle space formed therein;
- a fan motor having a motor housing, an electric drive, and a fan, wherein the fan motor is received by the receptacle space of the housing;
- a spray head coupled to the housing;
- a handle coupled to the housing;
- a power accumulator;
- and
- a coupling component that mechanically and electrically couples the power accumulator to the handle;
- wherein the handle has a first end and a second end, the first end being connected to the housing and the second end being connected to the coupling component;
- wherein the electric drive is a brushless direct current (BLDC) electric drive and comprises a control circuit board connected to the motor housing of the fan motor;
- wherein the control circuit board is disposed between the fan and the first end of the handle;
- wherein the receptacle space comprises an air inlet and an air outlet;
- wherein the receptacle space comprises a first plane that forms a cross-sectional area of the air inlet and a second plane that forms a cross-sectional area of the air outlet;
- wherein the first plane and the second plane intersect approximately orthogonally;
- and
- wherein the air outlet opens toward the spray head.
A hand-held paint sprayer comprising:
- a housing having a receptacle space formed therein;
- a fan motor having an electric drive and a fan, wherein the fan motor is received by the receptacle space of the housing;
- a spray head coupled to the housing;
- a handle coupled to the housing;
- a power accumulator;
- and
- a coupling component that mechanically and electrically couples the power accumulator to the handle;
- wherein the handle has a first end and a second end, the first end being connected to the housing and the second end being connected to the coupling component;
- wherein the receptacle space comprises an air inlet and an air outlet;
- wherein the receptacle space comprises a first plane that forms a cross-sectional area of the air inlet and a second plane that forms a cross-sectional area of the air outlet;
- wherein the first plane and the second plane intersect approximately orthogonally;
- wherein the air outlet opens toward the spray head;
- wherein the fan comprises a fan housing having an intake duct and an exhaust duct;
- wherein a flow of induction air passes through the intake duct in a direction of a rotation axis of the electric drive of the motor fan;
- and
- wherein a flow of exhaust air passes through the exhaust duct in the direction of the rotation axis of the electric drive of the motor.
