Ultraportable ultrasound

An ultrasound system comprising:

• an ultrasound scanner configured to transmit ultrasound at a patient anatomy and receive reflections of the ultrasound from the patient anatomy;
• a mobile computing device configured to be coupled to the ultrasound scanner;
• a display device configured to display an ultrasound image that is generated based on the reflections of the ultrasound;
• a memory coupled to the display device;
• a docking station coupled to the display device and the memory and configured to support the mobile computing device, the mobile computing device configured to display, on the display device, a first user interface including a first ultrasound control panel for controlling first ultrasound features of the ultrasound system when supported by the docking station and to display, on the display device, a second user interface including the first ultrasound control panel and an additional ultrasound control panel for controlling additional ultrasound features stored in the memory of the ultrasound system when the mobile computing device is unsupported by the docking station, wherein the additional ultrasound control panel is not included in the first user interface.

An ultrasound system comprising:

• an ultrasound scanner configured to transmit ultrasound at a patient anatomy and receive ultrasound data based on reflections of the ultrasound from the patient anatomy as part of an ultrasound examination;
• a memory coupled to the ultrasound scanner to store the ultrasound data;
• a first display device coupled to the memory and configured to, during the ultrasound examination:
• display the ultrasound data including an ultrasound image and a medical worksheet on the first display device;
• and
• transfer the ultrasound data displayed on the first display device to a mobile computing device;
• the mobile computing device configured to display, on a second display device, the ultrasound image, the medical worksheet and a measurement and label panel for at least one of labeling and measurement of the ultrasound image subsequent to the ultrasound examination.
