Abstract
A shelf-supporting device suitable for creating a reversible connection of a shelf with an opposite shoulder of a piece of furniture includes a shelf bracket having a main body with a solid section in its front area, from a front surface of which a connection pin protrudes, and a profile shaped so that at least a portion of the upper surface of the main body does not come into contact with the upper internal wall of the seat, in which the main body is housed, and which is defined within the shelf when the shelf-supporting device is assembled into the shelf.
Claims18
A combination of a shelf-supporting device and a shelf having a shelf seat for said shelf-supporting device, said shelf seat being defined within a thickness of said shelf of a piece of furniture to receive an entirety of said shelf-supporting device for a reversible connection of the shelf to a shoulder of the piece of furniture, said shelf-supporting device comprising:
- a main body, which is slidingly associated with a connection pin movable between a first operating position, in which said connection pin protrudes from said shelf so as to be able to be inserted into a shoulder seat defined in the shoulder, and a second retracted position, in which said connection pin does not protrude from said shelf or protrudes but can still be released from said shoulder seat,
- wherein said shelf seat has an oval or circular cross-section,
- wherein said main body has a box shape comprising an upper surface disposed longitudinally, a lower surface disposed longitudinally, a front area from which the connection pin protrudes, and a pair of side surfaces, the front area having a solid portion with a continuous front surface interrupted only by a hole dimensioned to enable a passage of the connection pin,
- wherein said main body has an elongated shape having a transversal section with an upperly and lowerly flattened oval profile along a longitudinal extension of the main body, the upper surface being planar along an entire length thereof so as to be configured as a bevel along an entirety thereof, and
- wherein a distance exists between the upper surface of the main body and an upper internal wall of the shelf seat when the shelf-supporting device and the shelf are assembled,
- so that the upper surface of the main body does not come into contact with the upper internal wall of the shelf seat when the shelf-supporting device is assembled into the shelf.
A combination of a shelf-supporting device and a shelf having a shelf seat for said shelf-supporting device, said shelf seat being defined within a thickness of said shelf of a piece of furniture to receive said shelf-supporting device for a reversible connection of the shelf to a shoulder of the piece of furniture, said shelf-supporting device comprising:
- a main body, which is slidingly associated with a connection pin movable between a first operating position, in which said connection pin protrudes from said shelf so as to be able to be inserted into a shoulder seat defined in the shoulder, and a second retracted position, in which said connection pin does not protrude from said shelf or protrudes but can still be released from said shoulder seat,
- wherein said shelf seat has an oval or circular cross-section,
- wherein said main body has an elongated shape defined by a longitudinal bevel on its upper surface and a longitudinally arcuate lower surface, or by a longitudinal bevel on its upper surface and a planar lower surface, the upper and lower surface being connected by longitudinal arcuate side surfaces, and
- wherein said main body has a cavity defined therein and a continuous front surface interrupted only by a hole sized to enable a passage of said connection pin, said connection pin being movable to protrude from said front surface,
- wherein the combination of the shelf-supporting device and the shelf defines a gap between the upper surface of the main body and an upper internal wall of the shelf seat,
- so that the upper surface of the main body does not come into contact with the upper internal wall of the shelf seat when the shelf-supporting device is assembled into the shelf;
- further comprising a seat, in correspondence with a front area of said main body having a solid portion, said seat being open on a lower surface of the main body and being configured to house a T-nut having a main body provided with a pass-through hole for passage of the connection pin and a base portion defining two flaps projecting laterally with respect to said main body of the T-nut.
A shelf-supporting device for a reversible connection of a shelf to a shoulder, the shelf-supporting device comprising:
- a main body slidingly associated with a connection pin movable between a first operating position, in which said connection pin protrudes from the shelf so as to be insertable into a shoulder seat formed in said shoulder, and a second retracted position, in which said connection pin does not protrude from said shelf or protrudes but can still to be released from said shoulder seat,
- wherein said main body has a shaped profile so that at least one portion of an upper surface of the main body does not come into contact with an upper internal wall of a shelf seat defined in a thickness of said shelf when the shelf-supporting device is assembled into the shelf,
- wherein said shelf-supporting device is configured to be received in a shoulder seat having an oval or circular cross-section, wherein said main body has a box shape comprising an upper surface disposed longitudinally, a lower surface disposed longitudinally, a front area from which the connection pin protrudes, and a pair of side surfaces, the front area having flattened upper and lower edges and being made as a solid portion with a continuous front surface interrupted only by a hole dimensioned to enable a passage of the connection pin,
- wherein said main body has an elongated shape having a transversal section with an upperly and lowerly flattened oval profile, in which the upper surface is planar along an entire length thereof, and
- wherein a distance exists between the upper surface of the main body and the upper internal wall of the shelf seat when the shelf-supporting device and the shelf are assembled,
- so that the upper surface of the main body does not come into contact with the upper internal wall of the shelf seat when the shelf-supporting device is assembled into the shelf.
