Built-in electric air pump

A built-in electric air pump adapted to be attached to an inflatable body, the built-in electric air pump comprising:

• a pump housing defining therewithin an accommodating cavity;
• a pump cover disposed within the accommodating cavity;
• an impeller disposed on a first side of the pump cover;
• a switching device disposed within the accommodating cavity;
• an air valve in fluid communication with the switching device;
• and
• an operating switch operably connected to the switching device and configured to drive the switching device to switch between a first position in which the built-in electric air pump is in an inflation state and a second position in which the built-in electric air pump is in an exhaust state;
• and
• a press plate disposed within the accommodating cavity and comprising a first end biased to press against a first limiting structure of the pump cover, and a second end biased to press against the pump housing, such that the press plate and the pump housing limit a position of the pump cover within the accommodating cavity;
• wherein the press plate divides the accommodating cavity into a first chamber and a second chamber independent of each other, wherein a driving device and the switching device are accommodated within the first chamber, and the second chamber is configured to accommodate an external power cable therewithin.
