Abstract
Disclosed is a tank that retains a large amount of fluid in a safe manner. The tank can be easily and rapidly constructed and disassembled for subsequent use. A liner has lifting straps that are lifted by winch booms connected to booms. Exterior securing straps are used to hold the liner in place. Connecting plates are secured to trunnions on each of the panels. Pressure pins allow the connector plates to flex so that the panels can form a round or oval tank. The panels are constructed in a curved fashion to create the round or oval tank wall.
Claims7
A tank for storing fluid comprising:
- a tank wall formed from curved steel panels that are connected together with connector plates;
- a manifold that is recessed below ground level and below said tank wall, said manifold having outer ports that are located outside of said tank wall and inner ports that are located inside said tank wall;
- a liner disposed inside said tank that has lifting straps inside said liner wherein said straps are configured to attach to winches on booms to raise and lower said liner inside of said tank wall;
- securing straps located along an outer edge of said liner, wherein said securing straps are configured to attach to an outside portion of said tank wall to hold said liner in place in said tank.
A tank for storing fluid comprising:
- a tank wall comprising:
- a plurality of curved steel panels with each of said curved steel panels having an outward facing convex shaped surface and trunnions that protrude from said outward facing convex shaped surface;
- a plurality of connector plates configured to attach said plurality of curved steel panels to each other, and each of said connector plates having apertures so that said trunnions are disposed in and protrude through said apertures of said connector plates;
- a plurality of pressure pins disposed through said trunnions so that said connector plates are secured to said curved steel panels;
- a liner disposed inside said tank having lifting straps located on an interior of said liner wherein said straps are configured to carry said liner, and securing straps located along an outer edge of said liner wherein said securing straps are configured to secure said liner to said outward facing convex shaped surface of said tank wall;
- a manifold that is recessed below ground level and below said tank wall, said manifold having outer ports that are located outside of said tank wall and inner ports that are located inside said tank wall.
