Abstract
A deck for a treadmill includes a continuous belt, and a plurality of rollers engaging the continuous belt. The continuous belt and rollers at least partly define cavity of the deck. The deck also includes a first motor configured to modify a position of the deck relative to a support surface on which the deck is supported, and a second motor configured to modify a speed of rotation of the track. The first motor and the second motor are disposed within the cavity.
Claims16
A deck for a treadmill, the deck comprising:
- a frame having a first rail coupled to a second rail;
- a first roller located at a first end of the first rail and the second rail and rotatably supported by the first end of the first rail and the second rail;
- a second roller located at a second end of the first rail and the second rail and rotatably supported by the second end of the first rail and the second rail;
- a continuous belt rotatable about the first roller and the second roller;
- a cavity defined by an area formed by the first rail, the second rail, the first roller and the second roller;
- a first motor disposed within the cavity and configured to modify a position of the deck relative to a support surface on which the deck is supported;
- a second motor disposed within the cavity and configured to modify a speed of rotation of the continuous belt;
- a control cavity disposed at least partially within the first rail or the second rail;
- and
- a controller that is disposed within a drawer of the control cavity,
- wherein the controller is operably coupled to the first motor and the second motor and controls operations of the first motor and the second motor.
A treadmill, comprising:
- an upper assembly having a crossbar and a display supported by the crossbar;
- and
- a deck having a frame, including:
- a first roller and a second roller;
- a control cavity disposed within a rail of the frame of the deck;
- a controller operably connected to the deck and the display and disposed within a drawer of the control cavity;
- a continuous belt rotatable about the first roller and the second roller;
- a first motor configured to modify a position of the deck relative to a support surface on which the deck is supported;
- and
- a second motor configured to modify a speed of rotation of the continuous belt.
A treadmill, comprising:
- a deck having a frame, the deck including:
- a control cavity disposed at least partially in a first rail or a second rail of the frame of the deck;
- a controller operably connected to the deck and disposed within a drawer of the control cavity;
- a continuous belt rotatable about a first roller and a second roller;
- a first motor disposed within a cavity of the deck and configured to modify a position of the deck relative to a support surface on which the deck is supported;
- a second motor disposed within the cavity of the deck and configured to modify a speed of rotation of the continuous belt;
- and
- an upper assembly, including:
- a first rotary control configured to receive input from a user of the treadmill and cause the first motor to modify the position of the deck;
- and
- a second rotary control configured to receive input from the user of the treadmill and cause the second motor to modify the speed of rotation of the continuous belt.
