Systems and methods for determining likelihood of traffic incident information

A method, comprising:

• obtaining, via a controller comprising one or more processors and from a camera, a first image of an occupant within a vehicle and a second image of the occupant within the vehicle based on an indication that a traffic incident involving the vehicle has occurred;
• processing, via the controller, the first image and the second image to identify a shared biomechanical point of the occupant between the first image and the second image;
• determining, via the controller, a force that the occupant was subject to during the traffic incident based on tracking movement of the shared biomechanical point of the occupant by calculating a distance difference, speed, and/or acceleration between the shared biomechanical point of the second image and the shared biomechanical point of the first image;
• and
• determining, via the controller, a severity of injury to the occupant of the vehicle based on the force.

One or more tangible, non-transitory, machine-readable media comprising instructions configured to cause a controller comprising one or more processors to:

• obtain, from a camera, a first image of an occupant within a vehicle and a second image of the occupant within the vehicle based on an indication that a traffic incident involving the vehicle has occurred;
• process the first image and the second image to identify a shared biomechanical point of the occupant between the first image and the second image;
• determine a force that the occupant was subject to during the traffic incident based on tracking movement of the shared biomechanical point of the occupant by calculating a distance difference, speed, and/or acceleration between the shared biomechanical point of the second image and the shared biomechanical point of the first image;
• and
• determine a severity of injury to the occupant of the vehicle based on the force.
