Provided is a combustion device including: a burner that includes an ammonia injection nozzle having an injection port that faces an inner space of a furnace; and an adjustment structure that adjusts a separation distance between the injection port and the inner space.

A combustion device, comprising:
- a burner including an ammonia injection nozzle having an injection port that faces an inner space of a furnace;
- and
- an adjustment structure configured to adjust a separation distance between the injection port and the inner space,
- wherein the burner includes a pulverized coal injection nozzle having an injection port that faces the inner space of the furnace, and
- wherein the combustion device further comprises a control device configured to control operation of the adjustment structure based on a flow rate of pulverized coal in the pulverized coal injection nozzle.
