Pharmaceutical compositions comprising teixobactin

A method for treating a bacterial infection in a subject in need thereof, said method comprising administering to said subject a pharmaceutical composition, wherein said pharmaceutical composition is an aqueous solution comprising teixobactin (TXB) and a pegylated phospholipid (PPL);

• wherein the PPL solubilizes TXB in the aqueous solution;
• and
• wherein the PPL is a compound of Formula (I):
• wherein
• R1 and R2 are independently an alkyl chain comprising from 4 to 50 carbon atoms, from 0 to 10 double bonds or from 0 to 10 triple bonds;
• wherein the alkyl chain is unsubstituted or substituted with one or more substituents selected from the group consisting of halogen, —NO2, —COH, —OR′, —COR′, —OCOR′, —COOR′, —CONR′ and —SO4, wherein R′ is hydrogen or a C1-C6 alkyl;
• n is an integer from 5 to 1000;
• and
• X is a hydrogen, a monovalent cation or a divalent cation;
• and
• wherein the bacterial infection is caused by a Gram-positive bacterium.
