Method and device for welding at least two profiled sections for window or door frames or leaves

An apparatus configured to weld a first profile and a second profile for window or door frames and casements or leaves, the apparatus comprising:

• a heating unit adapted to be introduced and withdrawn between a first profile end of the first profile on a first profile support and a second profile end of the second profile on a second profile support, wherein said heating unit has at least two heating elements including a first heating element and a second heating element, wherein the first heating element and second heating element each comprise a first heating surface for melting the first profile end and a second heating surface for melting the second profile end, and wherein the first heating element and the second heating elements are configured to move relative to each other during the melting of the first and second profile ends to displace melt material formed during melting into an interior of the first and second profiles;
• at least one tool arranged on each of the first heating element and the second heating element of the heating unit and configured to chamfer either an upper visible surface or a lower visible surface respectively of each of the first and second profile ends prior to melting the first and second profile ends;
• and
• a swaging apparatus comprising the first profile support for supporting the first profile and the second profile support for support the second profile, wherein the first and second profile supports are configured to move the first and second profile ends into contact with the first and second heating surfaces for melting and to push the first and second profile ends against one another to join the first and second profiles together after the heating unit is withdrawn.
