Autonomous vacuum sweeping system

A cleaning system comprising:

• a debris ingestion opening,
• a brush roller configured to receive debris from the debris ingestion opening, the brush roller comprising:
• an outer core comprising a first tube;
• an inner core concentric with the outer core and configured to be located within the outer core, the inner core comprising a second tube,
• wherein the inner core is configured to house:
• a spring configured to contact an inner surface of the second tube, and
• a ball bearing configured to contact the spring;
• and
• wherein the inner core is configured to house at least part of:
• a pin configured to contact the ball bearing at a first side of the pin, and
• an end tip comprising a locking mechanism, the end tip connected to the pin at a second side of the pin, the locking mechanism configured to secure the end tip to the inner surface of the second tube,
• wherein the pin and the end tip are connected such that the pin and the end tip are stationary during rotation of the ball bearing and inner core;
• a plurality of flaps connected to the outer core, and
• one or more buffer zones, each buffer zone comprising a toroidal cavity configured to receive and store hair, the toroidal cavity located between an inner surface of the first tube and an outer surface of the second tube, and
• a duct opening configured to receive debris moved by the brush roller, the debris including hair that is directed into a buffer zone of the one or more buffer zones within the duct opening, the buffer zone located proximal to an end of the brush roller, the brush roller positioned proximal to the duct opening for suction of the hair from the buffer zone.

A brush roller comprising:

• an outer core comprising a first tube;
• an inner core concentric with the outer core and structured within the outer core, the inner core comprising a second tube,
• wherein the inner core is structured to house:
• a spring within an inner surface of the second tube, and
• a ball bearing to contact the spring;
• and
• wherein the inner core is structured to house at least part of:
• a pin to contact the ball bearing, and
• an end tip connected to the pin;
• and
• a plurality of flaps connected to the outer core, wherein a flap of the plurality of flaps:
• has a length within 5 to 35 millimeters,
• comprises a root section and a tapered section, wherein the root section has a uniform thickness, and wherein the tapered section has a tapered thickness, and
• comprises an elastomer having one or more of:
• a hardness within Shore A 40 to 80;
• a Bayshore rebound resilience within 5% to 50%;
• an elongation at break within 50% to 900%;
• and
• a tear strength within 75 to 250 kN/m.
