Abstract
A lighting control system for controlling a cumulative light emitted by a lighting fixture having a plurality of LED light sources may comprise a plurality of LED drivers adapted to be coupled to a respective one of the LED light sources and configured to control an intensity of the respective LED light source, and a controller configured to transmit a single digital message for controlling the cumulative light emitted by the lighting fixture. Each of the plurality of LED drivers is configured to adjust the intensity of the respective LED light source to a preset intensity in response to the single digital message transmitted by the controller.
Claims21
A light-emitting diode (LED) lamp controller, comprising:
- memory circuitry;
- communications interface circuitry;
- and
- control circuitry operatively coupled to the memory circuitry and to the communications interface circuitry, the control circuitry to:
- responsive to receipt of a message including address data and command data, determine whether at least a portion of the address data corresponds to assigned address data stored in the memory circuitry,
- responsive to the determination that at least a portion of the address data corresponds to assigned address data stored in the memory circuitry, determine whether the command data included in message corresponds to one of a plurality of preset commands stored in the memory circuitry,
- responsive to the received command data corresponding to one of the plurality of preset commands stored in the memory circuitry, determine a respective preset intensity for each of a plurality of operatively coupled LED strings, and
- cause each of a plurality of LED driver circuits operatively coupled to the LED lamp controller to adjust each of the plurality of operatively coupled LED strings to the respective determined preset intensity.
A light-emitting diode (LED) lamp control method, comprising:
- receiving, by LED control circuitry via communications interface circuitry, a message including address data and command data;
- determining, by the LED control circuitry, whether at least a portion of the address data corresponds to assigned address data stored in the memory circuitry;
- determining, by the LED control circuitry, whether the command data included in message corresponds to one of a plurality of preset commands stored in the memory circuitry responsive to the determination that at least a portion of the address data corresponds to assigned address data stored in the memory circuitry;
- determining, by the LED control circuitry, a respective preset intensity for each of a plurality of operatively coupled LED strings responsive to the determination that the received command data corresponds to one of the plurality of preset commands stored in the memory circuitry;
- and
- causing, by the LED control circuitry, each of a plurality of LED driver circuits operatively coupled to the LED lamp controller to adjust each of the plurality of operatively coupled LED strings to the respective determined preset intensity.
A non-transitory, machine-readable, storage device that included instructions that, when executed by LED control circuitry, cause the LED control circuitry to:
- receive, via communications interface circuitry, a message including address data and command data;
- determine whether at least a portion of the address data corresponds to assigned address data stored in the memory circuitry;
- determine whether the command data included in message corresponds to one of a plurality of preset commands stored in the memory circuitry responsive to the determination that at least a portion of the address data corresponds to assigned address data stored in the memory circuitry;
- determine a respective preset intensity for each of a plurality of operatively coupled LED strings responsive to the determination that the received command data corresponds to one of the plurality of preset commands stored in the memory circuitry;
- and
- cause each of a plurality of LED driver circuits operatively coupled to the LED lamp controller to adjust each of the plurality of operatively coupled LED strings to the respective determined preset intensity.
