Intelligent management of rearranged servers in a data processing system

A system comprising:

• a memory;
• and
• a processing device, operatively coupled to the memory, to:
• acquire infrastructure data associated with a data process system (DPS) comprising a first group of servers being monitored by a first group of sensors that generate a first set of sensor data and a second group of servers being monitored by a second group of sensors that generate a second set of sensor data;
• query the DPS to acquire a plurality of network addresses associated with the first group of servers and the second group of servers;
• identify, based on the infrastructure data and the plurality of network addresses, a plurality of DPS locations of the first group of servers and the second group of servers;
• generate, based on the plurality of DPS locations, a server location map of the first group of servers and the second group of servers in the DPS, the server location map associates the first group of servers with the first set of sensor data and the second group of servers with the second set of sensor data;
• determine, based on the plurality of DPS locations, a relocation of a first server of the first group of servers to cause the first server to join the second group of servers;
• re-generate the server location map to indicate the relocation of the first server of the first group of servers to cause the first server to join the second group of servers;
• and
• re-associate the first server from the first group of sensors to the second group of sensors responsive to determining the relocation of the first server,
• wherein the server location map further indicates that the first server is associated with the second set of sensor data instead of the first set of sensor data.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions that, when execute by a processing device, cause the processing device to:

• acquire infrastructure data associated with a data process system (DPS) comprising a first group of servers being monitored by a first group of sensors that generate a first set of sensor data and a second group of servers being monitored by a second group of sensors that generate a second set of sensor data;
• query the DPS to acquire a plurality of network addresses associated with the first group of servers and the second group of servers;
• identify, by the processing device and based on the infrastructure data and the plurality of network addresses, a plurality of DPS locations of the first group of servers and the second group of servers;
• generate, based on the plurality of DPS locations, a server location map of the first group of servers and the second group of servers in the DPS, the server location map associates the first group of servers with the first set of sensor data and the second group of servers with the second set of sensor data;
• determine, based on the plurality of DPS locations, a relocation of a first server of the first group of servers to cause the first server to join the second group of servers;
• re-generate the server location map to indicate the relocation of the first server of the first group of servers to cause the first server to join the second group of servers;
• and
• re-associate the first server from the first group of sensors to the second group of sensors responsive to determining the relocation of the first server,
• wherein the server location map further indicates that the first server is associated with the second set of sensor data instead of the first set of sensor data.
