Abstract
A fluid pump includes a housing having a pump inlet volume and a pump outlet volume defined therein, an outer gerotor located in the housing, and an inner gerotor located in the housing inside the outer gerotor. The inner and outer gerotors being in fluid communication with the pump inlet volume and the pump outlet volume, and a first inlet and a second, separate inlet are provided in fluid communication with the inlet volume of the housing.
Claims19
A fluid pump comprising:
- a housing having a pump inlet volume and a pump outlet volume defined therein:
- an outer gerotor located in the housing;
- an inner gerotor located in the housing inside the outer gerotor, the inner and outer gerotors being in fluid communication with the pump inlet volume and the pump outlet volume, wherein a first inlet and a separate second inlet are provided in fluid communication with the pump inlet volume of the housing;
- a rotor for rotating the inner and outer gerotors, the rotor being coupled to the housing via a shaft;
- and
- a seal located between the shaft and the housing, the seal being in fluid communication with the pump inlet volume of the housing.

- a rotor coupled to the housing and to the inner gerotor via a shaft;
