Abstract
A structured powder for capturing CO2 from a gas stream includes an agglomerated powder, wherein magnesium hydroxide is 5 wt % to 90 wt % of the powder, and particles of the powder have a mean diameter of 1 micron to 40 microns. The structured powder has a mean largest dimension of 1 mm to 250 mm and an internal porosity of 10 vol % to 50 vol %.
Claims19
A structured powder comprising:
- an agglomerated powder, wherein magnesium hydroxide is 5 wt % to 90 wt % of the agglomerated powder, and powder particles of the agglomerated powder have a mean diameter of 1 micron to 40 microns and a surface area of 0.5×106 m2/m3 to 5×106 m2/m3;
- wherein the structured powder has a mean largest dimension size of 1 mm to 250 mm and an internal porosity of 10 vol % to 50 vol %.
A structured powder comprising:
- an agglomerated powder, wherein magnesium hydroxide is 5 wt % to 90 wt % of the agglomerated powder, powder particles of the agglomerated powder have a mean diameter of 1 micron to 40 microns and a surface area of 5×104 m2/m3 to 5×107 m2/m3, and the powder particles of the agglomerated powder have a Sauter mean diameter (D[3,2]) of 0.5 microns to 10 microns;
- wherein the structured powder has a mean largest dimension size of 1 mm to 250 mm and an internal porosity of 10 vol % to 50 vol %.
A structured powder comprising:
- an agglomerated powder, wherein magnesium hydroxide is 5 wt % to 90 wt % of the agglomerated powder, powder particles of the agglomerated powder have a mean diameter of 1 micron to 40 microns and a surface area of 5×104 m2/m3 to 5×107 m2/m3, and the powder particles of the agglomerated powder have a De Brouckere mean diameter (D[4,3]) of 0.5 microns to 10 microns;
