Abstract
An electric range is provided that may effectively increase output of a heater by optimizing a shape of each ferrite core without increasing a number of ferrite cores and may secure a maximum area of a through hole that facilitates communication between an inside and outside of a core frame, thereby preventing overheating of the heater and decreasing a use time of the heater.
Claims15
An electric range, comprising:
- a cover plate on which a heating target is disposed;
- and
- a heater comprising a working coil to which high-frequency power is applied and configured to heat the heating target using a magnetic field generated from the working coil, wherein the heater comprises:
- a core frame having an upper surface around which the working coil is wound;
- and
- a plurality of ferrite cores radially disposed under the core frame and extending in a radially outward direction from a center of the core frame, wherein the core frame comprises a through hole formed between neighboring ones of the plurality of ferrite cores and configured to facilitate communication between an inside and an outside of the core frame, wherein the plurality of ferrite cores has an asymmetrical shape based on the radial direction, wherein the plurality of ferrite cores has a same shape and a same size, wherein each of the plurality of ferrite cores comprises a plate-shaped core body having an inner end directed toward the center of the core frame and an outer end directed in the radially outward direction of the core frame, wherein the core body comprises:
- a first region having a width that gradually increases in a direction perpendicular to the radial direction from the inner end along the radial direction;
- a second region continuously formed in the radially outward direction with respect to the first region and having a width which is constant in a direction perpendicular to the radial direction;
- a third region continuously formed in the radially outward direction with respect to the second region and having a width that gradually decreases in a direction perpendicular to the radial direction;
- and
- a fourth region continuously formed in the radially outward direction with respect to the third region and having a width that remains constant in a direction perpendicular to the radial direction, wherein the through hole is formed further outside than the first region with respect to the radial direction, wherein a width of the through hole in a circumferential direction gradually increases in the radial direction, and wherein the through hole is formed between the first region and the fourth region with respect to the radial direction.
