Claims20
A pharmaceutical composition to treat osteoarthritis in a patient, consisting of:
- water;
- and
- a synergistic combination of:
- a hyaluronic acid (HA) hydrogel comprising HA that has a molecular weight of at least 500 kilodaltons;
- and
- a corticosteroid, wherein the HA and the corticosteroid are synergistically effective to reverse collagen degradation.
A pharmaceutical composition for use in a method of treating inflammation, consisting of:
- water;
- and
- a synergistic combination of:
- a hyaluronic acid (HA) hydrogel comprising HA that has a molecular weight of at least 500 kilodaltons;
- and
- a corticosteroid, wherein the HA and the corticosteroid are synergistically effective to reduce inflammasome-mediated inflammation in a joint affected by osteoarthritis.
A method to treat osteoarthritis in a patient, comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of a pharmaceutical composition to the patient, the pharmaceutical composition consisting of:
- water, and
