Abstract
An induction heating type cooktop includes a case, a cover plate that is connected to an upper end of the case and that has an upper surface configured to support an object to be heated, a working coil disposed inside the case, a thin layer disposed at the cover plate, a temperature sensor configured to sense a temperature of the thin layer, and a heat insulator that is configured to block heat transfer from the thin layer to the working coil and that defines at least one sensing hole that receives the temperature sensor.
Claims21
An induction heating type cooktop comprising:
- a case;
- a cover plate connected to an upper end of the case, the cover plate having an upper surface configured to support an object to be heated;
- a working coil disposed inside the case;
- a thin layer disposed at the cover plate;
- a bracket disposed between the thin layer and the working coil;
- and
- a temperature sensor configured to sense a temperature of the thin layer,
- wherein the temperature sensor includes:
- a first end that is disposed below the thin layer,
- a wire extending from the first end,
- a head that is in contact with the thin layer and defines a temperature measurement point at the thin layer, the head defining a space receiving the first end, and
- a connector that defines a space receiving at least a part of the wire, the connector having a first end portion that is in contact with the head and installed in the bracket to fix the temperature sensor,
- wherein the induction heating type cooktop further comprises a sealing member disposed between the head of the temperature sensor and the bracket,
- wherein the first end is spaced apart from a position where the temperature sensor is fixed, and
- wherein the thin layer is configured to define a skin depth that is greater than a thickness of the thin layer to thereby be directly heated by the working coil via induction based on the object being a non-magnetic object.
