Communication method, apparatus, and system

A communication method performed by a second terminal device, the method comprising:

• receiving a wake-up signal from a first terminal device by using a first frequency domain resource, wherein the first frequency domain resource is used by two or more terminal devices to transmit wake-up signals;
• activating a second frequency domain resource based on the wake-up signal, wherein the first frequency domain resource does not overlap the second frequency domain resource;
• and
• receiving sidelink (SL) data from the first terminal device by using the second frequency domain resource.

An apparatus, comprising:

• one or more memories and one or more processors, the memories storing instructions, and the processors operatively connected to the memories such that the processors can execute the instructions to perform a method comprising:
• sending a wake-up signal to a second terminal device by using a first frequency domain resource, wherein the wake-up signal is configured to activate a second frequency domain resource, wherein the first frequency domain resource can be used by two or more terminal devices to transmit wake-up signals, and the first frequency domain resource does not overlap the second frequency domain resource;
• and
• sending sidelink (SL) data to the second terminal device by using the second frequency domain resource.

A second terminal device, comprising:

• one or memories and one or more processors, the memories storing instructions, and the processors operatively connected to the memories such that the processors can execute the instructions to perform a method comprising:
• receiving a wake-up signal from a first terminal device by using a first frequency domain resource, wherein the first frequency domain resource can be used by two or more terminal devices to transmit wake-up signals;
• activating a second frequency domain resource based on the wake-up signal, wherein the first frequency domain resource does not overlap the second frequency domain resource;
• and
• receiving sidelink SL data from the first terminal device by using the second frequency domain resource.
