Abstract
Certain aspects relate to methods and apparatus for wireless communication. The apparatus generally includes a processing system configured to generate a first frame including an indication of unused resources in a first basic service set (BSS) available to be shared with one or more wireless nodes in one or more second BSSs. The apparatus also includes a first interface configured to output the first frame for transmission to the one or more wireless nodes.
Claims20
An apparatus, comprising:
- a receiver configured to receive a first frame including an indication of unused resources in a first basic service set (BSS) available to be shared with the apparatus, wherein the apparatus is in a second BSS;
- a memory;
- at least one processor coupled to the memory and configured to generate, responsive to the first frame, a second frame including an indication of an intent to use one or more of the unused resources;
- and
- a transmitter configured to transmit the second frame, wherein:
- the at least one processor is further configured to generate one or more data frames for participating in distributed communications with at least another apparatus in the first BSS, after transmission of the second frame;
- and
- the transmitter is further configured to transmit at least one of the one or more data frames using one or more of the unused resources.
A method for wireless communications by an apparatus, comprising:
- obtaining a first frame including an indication of unused resources in a first basic service set (BSS) available to be shared with the apparatus, wherein the apparatus is in a second BSS;
- in response to the first frame, generating a second frame including an indication of an intent to use one or more of the unused resources;
- outputting the second frame for transmission;
- after outputting the second frame for transmission, generating one or more data frames for participating in distributed communications with at least another apparatus in the first BSS;
- and
- outputting at least one of the data frames using one or more of the unused resources.
A second apparatus, comprising:
- a processing system that includes one or more processors and one or more code-storing memories coupled with the one or more processors, the processing system configured to cause the second apparatus to:
- receive a frame allocating unused resources in a first basic service set (BSS), wherein the second apparatus is in a second BSS;
- generate, after the reception of the frame, one or more data frames for participating in coordinated beamforming with at least a first apparatus in the first BSS;
- and
- simultaneously transmit the one or more data frames on the unused resources as part of the coordinated beamforming with the first apparatus.
A method for wireless communications by a second apparatus, comprising:
- obtaining a frame allocating unused resources in a first basic service set (BSS), wherein the second apparatus is in a second BSS;
- after obtaining the frame, generating one or more data frames for participating in coordinated beamforming with at least a first apparatus in the first BSS;
- and
- simultaneously outputting the one or more data frames for transmission on the unused resources as part of the coordinated beamforming with the first apparatus.
