Abstract
A method of operating a terminal in a wireless communication system includes transmitting, to a second device, a random access (RA) preamble, receiving, from the second device, a random access response (RAR) message as a response to the RA preamble, performing a radio resource control (RRC) connection procedure with the second device, generating a sift key for communication with the second device, and performing communication through a radio channel with the second device using the sift key.
Claims20
A method performed by a first device in a communication system, the method comprising:
- transmitting, to a second device, a random access (RA) preamble;
- receiving, from the second device, a random access response (RAR) message as a response to the RA preamble;
- performing a radio resource control (RRC) connection procedure with the second device;
- generating a key for communication with the second device;
- and
- performing communication through a radio channel with the second device using the key,
- wherein the key comprises a sift key for quantum cryptography communication and the key is generated by using a pulse for cryptographic key exchange, and
- wherein the pulse for cryptographic key exchange is used to measure a rotation angle error of a Faraday rotator mirror based on a first component obtained from the pulse before being reflected from the Faraday rotator mirror and a second component obtained from the pulse after being reflected from the Faraday rotator mirror.
A first device in a communication system, comprising:
- a transceiver;
- and
- a processor connected to the transceiver and is configured to:
- transmit, to a second device, a random access (RA) preamble;
- receive, from the second device, a random access response (RAR) message as a response to the RA preamble;
- perform a radio resource control (RRC) connection procedure with the second device;
- generate a key for communication with the second device;
- and
- perform communication through a radio channel with the second device using the key,
- wherein the key comprises a sift key for quantum cryptography communication and the key is generated by using a pulse for cryptographic key exchange, and
- wherein the pulse for cryptographic key exchange is used to measure a rotation angle error of a Faraday rotator mirror based on a first component obtained from the pulse before being reflected from the Faraday rotator mirror and a second component obtained from the pulse after being reflected from the Faraday rotator mirror.
