Abstract
A terminal for use with a vehicle latch, including: a main body portion that is integrally formed with a wire insulating engaging portion, a wire engaging portion and a pin engagement portion, wherein the wire insulating engaging portion has an enlarged surface area that extends laterally from the main body portion.

A terminal (10) for use with a vehicle latch (38), the terminal (10) extending along a first direction to define a height (H) and a second direction opposite the first direction to define a width, the terminal comprising:
- a main body portion (12) that is integrally formed with a wire insulating engaging portion (14), a wire engaging portion (16) and a pin engagement portion (18), wherein the wire insulating engaging portion (14) has an enlarged surface area that extends laterally from the main body portion (12),
- the main body portion (12) including a flared profile extending along the first direction between a first portion having a first width extending along the second direction and a second portion having a second width extending along the second direction, the second width being greater than the first width and matching a width extending along the second direction of the pin engagement portion (18).
