Abstract
Systems, methods, and apparatuses related to an image forming apparatus are provided. The image forming apparatus includes a controller and a display. The controller detects a malfunction of the image forming apparatus and calculates an amount of carbon dioxide emitted in a visit of a service engineer for maintenance work for the malfunction detected by the detection unit. The display displays the amount of carbon dioxide calculated by the controller.

An image forming apparatus comprising:
- a controller, configured to:
- detect a malfunction of the image forming apparatus;
- and
- calculate an amount of carbon dioxide emitted in a visit of a service engineer for maintenance work for the malfunction;
- and
- a display configured to display the amount of carbon dioxide calculated by the controller.

- detecting a malfunction of an image forming apparatus;
- receiving a position of a service engineer relative to the image forming apparatus;
- determining a distance between the image forming apparatus and the service engineer;
- calculating an amount of carbon dioxide emitted in a visit of the service engineer for maintenance work for the malfunction;
- and
- displaying the amount of carbon dioxide calculated.
