Laundry treatment apparatus

A laundry treatment apparatus, comprising;

• a cabinet having an entrance;
• a tub provided in the cabinet and defining a space configured to receive water, the tub having a tub entrance connected to the entrance of the cabinet;
• a drum rotatably provided in the tub and defining a space configured to receive laundry supplied through the tub entrance, the drum comprising (i) a drum body that has a cylindrical shape and is positioned inside the tub, the drum body defining a communication hole, (ii) a front cover defining a drum entrance that faces the tub entrance and is configured to receive the laundry into the drum body, and (iii) a rear cover provided at a position opposite to the front cover;
• and
• a balancer comprising:
• a base that is fixed to the drum and has a ring shape surrounding a rotation center of the drum;
• a first surface having a ring shape along an outer edge of the base,
• a second surface having a ring shape along an inner edge of the base and defining a circulation path together with the base and the first surface,
• a ball movable along the circulation path,
• a fastening portion that is provided to the base and fixes the balancer to the drum, and
• a reinforcing portion that protrudes from the second surface toward the rotation center of the drum and configured to reinforce a strength of the second surface,
• wherein the reinforcing portion comprises:
• a protruding portion that protrudes from the second surface toward the drum entrance,
• an extension portion that extends from the protruding portion toward the front cover and has a ring shape surrounding the drum entrance, and
• a support portion having a first end fixed to the extension portion and a second end fixed to the second surface, the support portion being configured to maintain a gap between the extension portion and the second surface.
