Abstract
The present invention is drawn, in part, to biocompatible compositions comprising a biocompatible polymer matrix and conditioned cell medium comprising i) a cell culture medium and ii) one or more agents synthesized by and secreted from one or more cells cultured in the cell culture medium, as well as therapeutic uses thereof, particularly in modulating bone and/or gum tissue growth.
Claims19
A biocompatible composition comprising:
- (a) a biocompatible polymer matrix;
- and
- (b) a conditioned cell medium comprising i) a cell culture medium and ii) one or more agents synthesized by and secreted from one or more cells cultured in the cell culture medium, wherein the cells are fibroblasts and osteoblasts,
- wherein the biocompatible composition does not comprise cells.

A method for producing a biocompatible composition, comprising:
- (a) culturing cells in a cell culture medium;
- (b) separating the cultured cells from the cell culture medium conditioned with one or more agents synthesized by and secreted from the cells in the cell culture medium to produce a conditioned cell medium;
- and
- (c) mixing the conditioned cell medium with a biocompatible polymer matrix, wherein the cultured cells are fibroblasts and osteoblasts.
