An isolated antigen binding protein, which is capable of binding to a complement factor 5 (C5) protein, comprising three complementary determining regions of a heavy chain variable region (VH):
- HCDR1, HCDR2, and HCDR3, and three complementary determining regions a light chain variable region (VL):
- LCDR1, LCDR2, and LCDR3, wherein the HCDR1 comprises the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:
