Abstract
Provided herein are compounds useful as imaging agents. Exemplary compounds provided herein are useful as myeloperoxidase imaging agents using magnetic resonance or nuclear imaging techniques. Methods for preparing the compounds provided herein and diagnostic methods using the compounds are also provided.

A compound of Formula I:
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein:
- Ring A is selected from the group consisting of:
- wherein indicates the bond between Ring A and L1;
- Ring B is selected from the group consisting of:
- wherein indicates the bond between Ring B and L1;
- L1 is:
- wherein:
- each L2 is an independently selected C1-4 alkylene;
- indicates the bond between L1 and Ring A;
- indicates the bond between L1 and Ring B;
- and
- indicates the bond between L1 and R1;
- R1 is selected from the group consisting of:
- M is a metal selected from the group consisting of Gd3+, Mn2+, 68Ga, 64Cu, and 111In;
- R2 are R3 are each independently selected from the group consisting of ORa, C(O)Ra, and OC(O)Ra;
- each Ra is independently selected from the group consisting of H and C1-4 alkyl;
- m is 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4;
- and
- n is 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4.
