Abstract
The present invention relates to a method for continuously preparing an ester-based composition, the method increasing a preparation yield by optimizing pressure of a reactor as a process variable of each reactor of a reaction unit in which a plurality of reactors are connected in series.
Claims11
A method for preparing an ester-based composition, comprising:
- putting polycarboxylic acid and at least one mono-alcohol having 3 to 12 alkyl carbon atoms into a mixer to form a reaction mixture (step S1);
- and
- continuously putting the reaction mixture into a reaction unit in which a total of N reactors are connected in series to continuously produce reaction products from a first reactor to an Nth reactor (step S2), wherein Expressions 1 and 2 below are satisfied:
- Pn1≤Pn1-1 [Expression 1]
- P1>PN [Expression 2]
- Tm≤T1≤Tn1 [Expression 4]
- wherein in Expressions 1, 2 and 4 above,
- PN is a pressure of an Nth reactor,
- n1 is an integer of 2 to N,
- N is an integer of 3 or more,
- P1 is 0.3 barg to 1.0 barg, and PN is 0 barg to 0.5 barg
- Tm is a temperature of the mixer,
- TN is a temperature of the Nth reactor, and
- Tm is 20 to 200° C., T1 is 150 to 230° C., and TN is 180 to 250° C.
