Medium conveying apparatus for correcting a skew of a medium using three sensors

A method for correcting a skew of a medium, comprising:

• feeding a medium by a plurality of feed rollers spaced in a direction perpendicular to a medium conveying direction, each feed roller rotating independently at a respective speed;
• and
• detecting the medium by a first sensor and a second sensor located on a downstream side of the plurality feed rollers in the medium conveying direction and in such a way as not to overlap each other when viewed from the medium conveying direction;
• wherein
• the speeds of the plurality of feed rollers are greater than 0 and different from each other from before the first sensor detects the medium at least until the first sensor detects the medium when the second sensor detects the medium and the first sensor does not detect the medium within a predetermined time.

A computer-readable, non-transitory medium storing executable instructions for correcting a skew of a medium, the executable instructions comprising:

• feeding a medium by a plurality of feed rollers spaced in a direction perpendicular to a medium conveying direction, each feed roller rotating independently at a respective speed;
• and
• detecting the medium by a first sensor and a second sensor located on a downstream side of the plurality feed rollers in the medium conveying direction and in such a way as not to overlap each other when viewed from the medium conveying direction;
• wherein
• speeds of the plurality of feed rollers are greater than 0 and different from each other from before the first sensor detects the medium at least until the first sensor detects the medium when the second sensor detects the medium and the first sensor does not detect the medium within a predetermined time.
