Abstract
Disclosed herein are compositions comprising two or more of GLP-1R agonists. The description contained herein describes methods for promote weight loss, maintain healthy weight, prevent weight gain after ceasing use of the pharmaceutical products, reduce appetite cravings/boost satiety, and manage a healthy appetite by increasing GLP-1 levels in a subject. The compositions described herein may be formulated for oral administration, and in some embodiments, may further comprise enteric or pH-responsive coatings.

A composition for increasing GLP-1 levels in a subject comprising an extract of ginseng root and pterostilbene, wherein the extract of ginseng root and pterostilbene are present in a synergistic ratio ranging from about 62.5 to 1:10 by mass concentration, and the composition is provided in a dosage form that, when administered to a human subject, provides the subject an amount of pterostilbene and extract of ginseng root equivalent to STC-1 cell concentrations selected from the group consisting of:
- the extract of ginseng root is present at a concentration of about 200 ug/mL and pterostilbene is present at a concentration ranging from about 16 ug/ml to 400 ug/ml,
- the extract of ginseng root is present at a concentration of about 1000 ug/mL and pterostilbene is present at a concentration ranging from about 16 ug/ml to 80 ug/ml,
- pterostilbene is present at a concentration of about 16 ug/ml and the extract of ginseng root is present at a concentration ranging from about 40 ug/ml to 1000 ug/ml, or
- pterostilbene is present at a concentration of about 400 ug/ml and the extract of ginseng root is present at a concentration ranging from about 40 ug/ml to 200 ug/ml.
