Gastrointestinal treatment system including a vibrating capsule, and method of use thereof

A gastrointestinal capsule for mitigating at least one jetlag symptom of a subject travelling from an origin location to a destination location, the gastrointestinal capsule being adapted for vibrating in a gastrointestinal tract of the subject said gastrointestinal capsule comprising:

• (a) a housing;
• (b) a vibrating agitator adapted such that, in a first vibrating mode of operation, said housing exerts vibrations on an environment surrounding said gastrointestinal capsule;
• (c) a power supply disposed within said housing and adapted to power said vibrating agitator;
• (d) a controller adapted, in response to receipt of an activation input, to activate said vibrating agitator to operate in said first vibrating mode of operation at at least one predetermined time of day, said at least one predetermined time of day being computed according to a different time zone of the destination location;
• and
• (e) at least one location sensor adapted to identify a geographical region in which said gastrointestinal capsule is located for determining the at least one predetermined time of day.
