Method and device for implementation of a smoking cessation program

A method of supplying a smoker with at least one smoking product during a smoking cessation program, wherein a housing with a closure is controlled by a processor that has access to a value memory to enable or deny access to the at least one smoking product according to the method, comprising the steps of:

• a) establishing a buffer value and storing the buffer value in a value memory;
• b) establishing a stock value and storing the stock value in the value memory;
• c) establishing a buffer filling time and storing the buffer filling time in value memory;
• d) transferring a virtual smoke product from the stock value to the buffer value according to the buffer filling time, whereby the stock value is reduced by one and the buffer fill value is increased by one after time equal to the buffer filling time has elapsed;
• and
• e) allowing the housing to open if the buffer value is greater than zero and preventing the housing from opening if the buffer value is zero;
• wherein the buffer value, the stock value, and the buffer filling time are initially set and are changeable during the smoking cessation program.
