Abstract
The disclosure relates to pheromone extracts from nematode growth medium, and methods of using such nematode extracts to increase the abundance of fungal and bacterial microbials in the soil to promote plant growth, plant health, and to protect plants from environmental stresses including abiotic and biotics stresses.

A method for promoting increased abundance of soil microbials comprising administering to a plant environment, or contacting a plant, seed, or part of a plant with an effective amount of a composition comprising an ascr #9 and ascr #11 pheromone extract;
- wherein the composition increases abundance of soil microbials.
