Abstract
An example may include verifying a call number to be used by an enterprise entity by selecting an enterprise number to verify from a database of one or more enterprise numbers assigned to a particular enterprise entity, initiating an outbound call destined to the enterprise number from an origination number known to an enterprise platform, receiving a return call to the origination number from the enterprise number, determining whether the return call was received within a defined time interval, and updating the enterprise number status in memory as a verified enterprise number when the return call was received within the defined time interval.
Claims20
A method performed by a verification platform, the method comprising:
- selecting an enterprise number for verification from a database, wherein the enterprise number is assigned to an enterprise entity;
- initiating an outbound call to the enterprise number from an origination number known to an enterprise platform;
- receiving a return call to the origination number from the enterprise number;
- determining whether the return call was received within a defined time interval;
- and
- updating a status of the enterprise number as a verified enterprise number in response to the return call being received within the defined time interval.
An apparatus comprising:
- a processor configured to:
- select an enterprise number for verification from a database, wherein the enterprise number is assigned to an enterprise entity;
- initiate an outbound call to the enterprise number from an origination number known to an enterprise platform;
- determine whether a return call to the origination number from the enterprise number was received within a defined time interval;
- and
- update a status of the enterprise number as a verified enterprise number in response to the return call being received within the defined time interval.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to perform:
- selecting an enterprise number for verification from a database, wherein the enterprise number is assigned to an enterprise entity;
- initiating an outbound call to the enterprise number from an origination number known to an enterprise platform;
- receiving a return call to the origination number from the enterprise number;
- determining whether the return call was received within a defined time interval;
- and
- updating a status of the enterprise number as a verified enterprise number in response to the return call being received within the defined time interval.
