Abstract
A method for producing an α,β-unsaturated aldehyde, including reacting a compound represented by formula (I) with a compound represented by formula (II) in the presence or absence of a solvent to provide a compound represented by formula (III), wherein titanium oxide is used as a catalyst, and an amount of the solvent is 50 parts by mass or less relative to 100 parts by mass in total of the compound of formula (I) and the compound of formula (II),
Claims18
A method for producing an α,β-unsaturated aldehyde, comprising reacting a compound represented by formula (I) with a compound represented by formula (II) in the presence or absence of a solvent to provide a compound represented by formula (III),
- wherein said reacting is conducted in the presence of a titanium oxide catalyst,
- an amount of the solvent is 50 parts by mass or less relative to 100 parts by mass in total of the compound of formula (I) and the compound of formula (II),
- and
- the titanium oxide has a crystallite diameter of 100 Å or more and 400 Å or less, where R1 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 or more and 10 or less carbon atoms,
- R2 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 or more and 6 or less carbon atoms, or an alkoxy group having 1 or more and 6 or less carbon atoms, and R3 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 or more and 3 or less carbon atoms, or
- R2 and R3 form 1,3-dioxolane together with carbon atoms to which R2 and R3 are attached, and
- R4, R5, and R6 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 or more and 3 or less carbon atoms.
