Information processing apparatus, moving apparatus, and method, and program

A moving apparatus that is switchable between an automatic driving mode and a manual driving mode, the moving apparatus comprising:

• at least one driver sensor configured to acquire driver information of a driver of the moving apparatus;
• at least one environmental sensor configured to acquire surrounding information of the moving apparatus;
• and
• at least one processor configured to:
• determine a switching point from the automatic driving mode to the manual driving mode based on the surrounding information;
• execute a manual driving return request notification to the driver before reaching the switching point,
• obtain, from the at least one driver sensor, driver information indicative of the driver failing to takeover to change the automatic driving mode of the moving apparatus to the manual driving mode;
• generate a plurality of options corresponding to a respective plurality of evacuation processes of the moving apparatus;
• output the plurality of options for display to the driver and/or a passenger of the moving apparatus;
• receive input indicating a selected option of the plurality of options;
• and
• cause the moving apparatus to execute an evacuation process corresponding to the selected option.

An information processing method to be executed in an information processing apparatus, the information processing method comprising:

• obtaining, from at least one input device disposed in a vehicle having an automatic driving mode and a manual driving mode, takeover refusal information indicative of a driver failing to takeover to change the automatic driving mode of the vehicle to the manual driving mode;
• generating a plurality of options corresponding to a respective plurality of evacuation processes of the vehicle;
• outputting the plurality of options for display to the driver and/or a passenger of the vehicle;
• receiving input indicating a selected option of the plurality of options;
• and
• causing the vehicle to execute, in response to the takeover refusal information, an evacuation process corresponding to the selected option.
