Abstract
A sole structure for an article of footwear includes a first conical traction element disposed in a forefoot region of the sole structure. The sole structure also includes a first elongate traction element, a second elongate traction element, and a third elongate traction element arranged in a radial pattern around the first conical traction element within the forefoot region.
Claims20
A sole structure for an article of footwear, the sole structure comprising:
- a plurality of conical traction elements including a first conical traction element, a second conical traction element, and a third conical traction element each disposed in a forefoot region of the sole structure;
- and
- a first elongate traction element, a second elongate traction element, and a third elongate traction element arranged within the forefoot region in an arcuate pattern around the first conical traction element that is continuous and uninterrupted by any of the plurality of conical traction elements.
A sole structure for an article of footwear, the sole structure comprising:
- a first elongate traction element disposed in a heel region of the sole structure proximate to a medial side of the sole structure and oriented in a first rotational direction about a central axis of the heel region;
- a second elongate traction element disposed in the heel region of the sole structure proximate to a lateral side of the sole structure and oriented in a second rotational direction about the central axis of the heel region to define a radius of curvature with the first elongate traction element;
- a first conical traction element disposed in the heel region of the sole structure proximate to the medial side of the sole structure and disposed along the radius of curvature;
- and
- a second conical traction element disposed in the heel region of the sole structure proximate to a lateral side of the sole structure and disposed along the radius of curvature.
