Abstract
A display apparatus includes: a substrate having a display area and a peripheral area surrounding at least a portion of the display area; a first display element in the display area and including a first emission layer including a plurality of first quantum dots, the first emission layer to emit light of a first color; and a pixel definition layer on the substrate and including a first opening defining a first emission area of the first display element, a first trench spaced from the first opening in a first direction and extending in a second direction intersecting the first direction, and a first groove connecting the first opening to the first trench.

A display apparatus comprising:
- a substrate having a display area and a peripheral area surrounding at least a portion of the display area;
- a first display element in the display area and comprising a first emission layer comprising a plurality of first quantum dots, the first emission layer to emit light of a first color;
- and
- a pixel definition layer on the substrate and including a first opening defining a first emission area of the first display element, a first trench spaced from the first opening in a first direction and extending in a second direction intersecting the first direction, and a first groove connecting the first opening to the first trench.
