Image sensor including color separation lens array and electronic apparatus including the image sensor

An electronic apparatus comprising:

• an image sensor configured to convert an optical image into an electrical signal, the image sensor comprising:
• a sensor substrate including a plurality of pixels configured to sense light,
• a color separation lens array including a plurality of pixel corresponding regions facing the plurality of pixels, wherein each pixel corresponding region of the plurality of pixel corresponding regions includes one or more nanoposts, and the one or more nanoposts are configured to form a phase profile that separates incident light for each wavelength, and to concentrate light in different wavelength bands on the plurality of pixels, and
• a filter array positioned between the sensor substrate and the color separation lens array, and including a plurality of transparent regions alternately arranged with a plurality of filters corresponding to a first color;
• and
• a processor configured to control an operation of the image sensor and to store and output a signal generated by the image sensor,
• wherein the plurality of pixels comprises a plurality of first pixels corresponding to the first color and a plurality of second pixels corresponding to a second color,
• wherein the plurality of filters corresponding to the first color are arranged to face the plurality of first pixels, and
• wherein the plurality of transparent regions are arranged to face the plurality of second pixels.

An image sensor comprising:

• a sensor substrate including a plurality of pixels;
• a lens array including one or more nanoposts configured modify a phase profile of light incident on the lens array in order to concentrate light having a particular wavelength onto a pixel of the plurality of pixels;
• and
• a filter array positioned between the sensor substrate and the lens array, and including a plurality of transparent regions and a plurality of filters corresponding to a first color,
• wherein the plurality of pixels comprises a plurality of first pixels corresponding to the first color and a plurality of second pixels corresponding to a second color,
• wherein the plurality of filters corresponding to the first color are arranged to face the plurality of first pixels, and
• wherein the plurality of transparent regions are arranged to face the plurality of second pixels.
