Abstract
An LED lighting device is disclosed. The example LED lighting device includes an LED circuit having at least two LEDs connected in series that emit a color temperature of white light. The example LED lighting device also includes a switch configured to be manually switched by a user to change the color temperature of white light that is emitted from the LED circuit. Switching the switch changes the color temperature of light emitted from the LED circuit by dimming or increasing a brightness of the at least two LEDs.
Claims17
An LED lighting device comprising:
- an LED circuit having a first set of LEDs connected in series and second set of LEDs connected in series, wherein the first set of LEDs comprises at least two LEDs that are configured to emit a first color temperature of white light and the second set of LEDs comprises at least two LEDs that are configured to emit a second color temperature of white light that is warmer than the first color temperature of white light;
- a switch configured to be manually switched by a user to change a color temperature of white light that is emitted from the LED circuit;
- at least one first current limiting device electrically connected between the switch and the first set of LEDs, the at least one first current limiting device configured to limit a first current through the first set of LEDs;
- at least one second current limiting device electrically connected between the switch and the second set of LEDs, the at least one second current limiting device configured to limit a second current through the second set of LEDs;
- and
- a housing configured to include at least the LED circuit and the switch,
- wherein the LED lighting device is configured to receive an AC voltage input from a mains power source, and
- wherein the switch is configured to selectively provide, based on the manual switching without intervening digital logic, current from the mains power source to the at least one first current limiting device and the at least one second current limiting device.
An LED lighting device comprising:
- an LED circuit having a first set of LEDs connected in series and second set of LEDs connected in series, wherein the first set of LEDs comprises at least two LEDs that are configured to emit a first color temperature of white light and the second set of LEDs comprises at least two LEDs that are configured to emit a second color temperature of white light that is warmer than the first color temperature of white light;
- a switch configured to be manually switched by a user to change a color temperature of white light that is emitted from the LED circuit;
- at least one first current limiting device electrically connected between the switch and the first set of LEDs, the at least one first current limiting device configured to limit a first current through the first set of LEDs;
- at least one second current limiting device electrically connected between the switch and the second set of LEDs, the at least one second current limiting device configured to limit a second current through the second set of LEDs;
- and
- a housing configured to include at least the LED circuit,
- wherein the switch is configured to selectively provide, based on the manual switching without intervening digital logic, current from a mains power source to the at least one first current limiting device and the at least one second current limiting device.
An LED lighting device comprising:
- a switch configured to be manually switched by a user to change a color temperature of white light that is emitted from an LED circuit;
- first current limiting devices electrically connected respectively between the switch and a first set of LEDs, the first current limiting devices configured to limit first currents through the first set of LEDs;
- second current limiting devices electrically connected respectively between the switch and a second set of LEDs, the second current limiting devices configured to limit second currents through the second set of LEDs;
- and
- a housing configured to include at least the LED circuit,
- wherein the switch is configured to selectively provide, based on the manual switching without intervening digital logic, current from a mains power source to the first current limiting devices and the second current limiting devices.
