Abstract
An autonomous information system enables metadata based, personalized, context-based data management providing intelligent storage, organization, search, retrieval, delivery or presentation of content in a multi-platform environment.
Claims17
A data system in an electronic device, comprising:
- one or more memory elements to store data, one or more processing elements, operably connected to said memory elements,
- wherein each stored data in said memory element includes a data element and a tag element,
- wherein said processing element stores data elements and their corresponding tag elements in said memory element,
- wherein data elements include received, transmitted or generated data from activities, multimedia content or communications within said device, and tag elements include metadata including temporal, geographic, context or user or machine-defined parameters for a corresponding data element stored in said memory element;
- wherein said processing element stores tag elements corresponding to data elements having one or more shared metadata in common within said system in a superblock;
- wherein said processing element further stores a sequence of the elements within said superblock based on a specific metadata,
- forming a metadata based digital journal of activities, communications or multimedia content within said device;
- wherein said shared metadata or said specific metadata is user or machine defined.

- a processing element,

- a data repository,
- a content repository, and
- a display,
- wherein each stored data in said memory element includes a data element and a tag element;

- wherein each tag element includes metadata for corresponding data element stored in said memory element;
- wherein content data is stored and updated on said content repository residing on said system or a data network;
- wherein based on a context of user access to said content data, the system selects or modifies, and transmits one or more of said content data to said system's data repository, user interface on said system's display, or a combination thereof,
- wherein said context includes date, day, time, user circumstances including user's schedule, preference file, security level for said system, location, planned activities or combinations thereof,
- wherein said system is communicatively coupled to one or more of a broadcast network, internet, local network.

- wherein upon finding content matching said criteria, said system retrieves and stores said content in said user content repository on said system or on said data network;
- wherein said system transmits said content to said user based on monitoring user circumstances including user's schedule, preference file, security level for said system, location, planned activities or combinations thereof.

- wherein said processing element is enabled by said system to autonomously monitor the user of said system's viewing habits of said content on said system;

- wherein said system, based on said profile, selects, modifies or creates content for said user;
- wherein said system presents said content to said user on said display based on said user profile, user's context, or a combination thereof,
- wherein said context includes date, day, time, user circumstances including user's schedule, preference file, security level for said system, location, planned activities or combinations thereof.
