Systems and methods for safety, security, and well-being of individuals

A health safety system for monitoring a security and a well-being of an individual, comprising:

• a camera system installed in a room occupied by the individual, the camera system configured to have an appearance and function of a wall-mountable light fixture, the camera system, comprising:
• one or more cameras moveably attached to a cover plate, the cover plate fixedly attached to a wall plate, the cover plate comprising a surface encasing the one or more cameras and the wall plate, the cover plate obscuring viewing of the one or more cameras from outside the cover plate, the surface comprising an opening for image reception by the one or more cameras,
• a processor system fixedly attached to the wall plate and configured to receive data from the one or more cameras, and
• a non-transitory, computer-readable storage medium fixedly attached to the wall plate and having encoded thereon, machine instructions executable by the processor system to process raw image data of captured by the one or more cameras, wherein the processor system executes video frame operations to produce distilled, contextualized data from the raw image data, comprising:
• detecting person objects in the raw image data;
• detecting and identifying non-person objects in the raw image data;
• identifying and classifying a person object as a patient for metric analysis;
• determining an initial posture of the patient;
• identifying subsequent posture changes in the patient;
• using the posture changes, determining a motion of the patient;
• based on the posture changes and the motion, generating a private, personalized metric analysis for the patient;
• automatically and immediately following generating the private, personalized metric analysis, deleting all the raw image data;
• and
• determining an identity, orientation, and trajectory of vulnerable individuals and nearby objects from the raw image data to identify high-risk movements and modulate light activity based on the identity of those movements.
