Abstract
In general terms, this disclosure is directed to methods and systems for generating and verifying digital asset agreements. One aspect is a method for publishing a digital asset with an agreement, the method comprising receiving a digital asset, receiving inputs selecting terms for the agreement of the digital asset, the terms being in a natural language, translating the selected terms for the digital asset into a transaction protocol written in a transaction protocol language, compiling the transaction protocol into bytecode which can be published on a blockchain, publishing the bytecode on the blockchain.
Claims18
A method for verifying an agreement associated with a digital asset, the method comprising:
- storing one or more off-chain terms of natural language terms in an off-chain datastore;
- generating a link to the off-chain datastore for retrieving the one or more off- chain terms of the natural language terms;
- inserting the link into a smart contract generated using the natural language terms;
- compiling the smart contract into bytecode;
- publishing the bytecode on a blockchain in connection with a digital asset ID associated with the digital asset;
- receiving the digital asset ID associated with the digital asset;
- retrieving the bytecode associated with the digital asset from the blockchain using the digital asset ID;
- decompiling the bytecode into the smart contract;
- translating the smart contract into the natural language terms, the natural language terms being mapped to the smart contract;
- retrieving the link from the smart contract;
- retrieving, using the link, the one or more off-chain terms of the natural language terms from the off-chain datastore;
- and
- generating a user interface and presenting the one or more off-chain terms of the natural language terms retrieved from the off-chain datastore and the natural language terms.
