Abstract
A detection device includes: a detection unit that detects a predetermined non-contact operation by a detection reference; and a control unit that changes the detection reference when the predetermined non-contact operation is not detected by the detection reference.
Claims12
A detection device for detecting an operation by a user for a midair display, the detection device comprising:
- a sensor that detects the operation by the user on the midair display;
- and
- a controller that controls a detection range of the sensor, wherein
- when the sensor detects the operation by the user in a first detection range above a surface of the detection device, the controller sets a second detection range above the surface that is different from the first detection range based on the detection result of the sensor,
- the sensor detects a first operation of the user on the midair display using a first detection reference,
- the sensor detects a second operation of the user following the first operation using a second detection reference that is different from the first detection reference, the controller further
- sets a third detection range above the surface of the detection device that is different from the second detection range as the detection range based on the detection result of the sensor when the sensor detects the operation by the user in the second detection range;
- and
- determines whether or not to set the third detection range based on a distance between a position where the operation by the user was detected and the second detection range when the sensor detects the operation by the user in the second detection range.
A detection method for detecting an operation by a user for a midair display, the method comprising:
- detecting with a sensor of a detection device the operation by the user on the midair display;
- and
- controlling a detection range of the sensor,
- wherein when the sensor detects the operation by the user in a first detection range above a surface of the detection device, a second detection range above the surface that is different from the first detection range is set based on the detection result of the sensor, and
- the detection method further comprises:
- detecting a first operation of the user on the midair display using a first detection reference;
- detecting a second operation following the first operation using a second detection reference that is different from the first detection reference;
- setting a third detection range above the surface of the detection device that is different from the second detection range as the detection range based on the detection result of the sensor when the sensor detects the operation by the user in the second detection range;
- and
- determining whether or not to set the third detection range based on a distance between a position where the operation by the user was detected and the second detection range when the sensor detects the operation by the user in the second detection range.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing a control program that causes a detection device for detecting an operation by a user for a midair display to:
- detect with a sensor the operation by the user on the midair display;
- and
- control a detection range of the sensor, wherein
- when the sensor detects the operation by the user in a first detection range above a surface of the detection device, a second detection range above the surface that is different from the first detection range is set based on the detection result of the sensor, and
- the program further causes the detection device to:
- detect a first operation of the user on the midair display using a first detection reference;
- detect a second operation following the first operation using a second detection reference that is different from the first detection reference;
- set a third detection range above the surface of the detection device that is different from the second detection range as the detection range based on the detection result of the sensor when the sensor detects the operation by the user, in the second detection range;
- and
- determine whether or not to set the third detection range based on a distance between a position where the operation by the user was detected and the second detection range when the sensor detects the operation by the user in the second detection range.
