Cartridge and image forming apparatus with filter having a portion sandwiched between an inclined surface and a sandwiching surface of two containers

A cartridge comprising:

• a first container including a container opening communicating with outside of the cartridge;
• a filter constituting a first chamber together with the first container, the filter being configured to prevent passage of toner and permit passage of air;
• a second container constituting a second chamber for housing toner together with the filter;
• and
• a pipe including a first pipe opening that faces a predetermined region of the filter with a gap therebetween and opens toward the predetermined region of the filter and a second pipe opening communicating with the outside of the cartridge, the pipe extending from the first pipe opening to the second pipe opening,
• wherein the filter includes a partition between the first chamber and the second chamber and a sandwiched portion sandwiched between the first container and the second container,
• wherein, with a direction in which the first container and the second container align defined as a first direction, and directions perpendicular to each other on a cross-section perpendicular to the first direction defined as a second direction and a third direction, the first direction being a direction of gravity, in a case where the cartridge is oriented in a predetermined direction in which the second chamber is above the first chamber,
• one of the first container and the second container includes an inclined surface that is inclined toward the predetermined region of the filter located lower in the first direction, as viewed in the third direction, as the inclined surface approaches the predetermined region in the second direction,
• the other of the first container and the second container includes a sandwiching surface, and
• the sandwiched portion of the filter includes a first sandwiched part extending in the second direction, the first sandwiched part being sandwiched between the inclined surface and the sandwiching surface along the inclined surface.
