A polarizer, comprising:
- a hard coating comprising whiskers, wherein the whiskers comprise first particles and second particles, the first particles have a same diameter in a lengthwise direction of the first particles, each of the second particles comprises a first end portion and a second end portion in a lengthwise direction thereof, and a diameter of the first end portion decreases along a direction away from the second end portion.
A liquid crystal display device, comprising a polarizer comprising a hard coating comprising whiskers, wherein the whiskers comprise first particles and second particles, the first particles have a same diameter in a lengthwise direction of the first particles, each of the second particles comprises a first end portion and a second end portion in a lengthwise direction thereof, and a diameter of the first end portion decreases along a direction away from the second end portion.
